So we have some exciting news to share…drumroll please! We’ve merged with our sister agency Montage Communications Ltd.

The merger will expand global marketing and e-commerce capabilities and bring enhanced customer experiences at every potential brand touchpoint — from initial brand discovery via social and PR through to e-commerce sales.

Director and Co-Founder, Aime Anderson, who set up Montage Communications in Bristol 15 years ago with husband Matthew Anderson, before relocating to Suffolk, said: “Our decision to merge our agencies is driven by strong, compatible capabilities and expertise, a combined ability to deliver integrated content and product promotion solutions across Food & Drink, Health and Beauty and Homewares sectors and scale to compete with global agencies.”

Montage’s impressive client portfolio includes SIGG, Dishmatic and HillFarm Oils.

Aime continued: “This merger opens new doors and further strengthens the team to take forward Marketplace amp’s ambitious plans for growth. By aligning our two agencies we will offer our consumer retail clients a full service for product and global marketing, underpinned by deep e-commerce expertise.”

With a new Alexa Skills Division, Content Division and Photography Services set up, the merger promises to offer a range of integrated services.

Marketplace amp Co-Founder and Director, Matthew Anderson said: “At Marketplace amp this merger means we’re scaling faster and delivering an increased level of capability for our customers. Our new Alexa Skills division is due to be launched shortly, with interest already on the table from major brands wanting to take advantage of our omni-channel e-commerce offer.”

The expansion of the team arrives as Marketplace amp takes on new clients fenjal skincare, Odor-Eaters and FitKit Bodycare, complementing their existing portfolio of health and beauty clients: Snufflebabe, Luckies of London, Bassetts Multi-vitamins, Sea-Band, Thermoskin and Sealskinz.

The Suffolk-based agency is currently launching a recruitment drive and is looking to double in size by the end of 2019. The 10-strong team based in the UK are supported by multilingual teams based in France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

Supporting the news with a triple appointment, Marketplace amp welcomes E-commerce Manager Adam Caseley, Client Services Manager Emma Weise and Junior Account Executive Matthew Walmsley to the team.

Adam, who brings with him over eight years of e-commerce experience, is a former Senior Account Manager at Rakuten Group; Emma is a former Amazon Account Manager at Music Sales and E-Commerce Specialist at Rakuten; and Matthew, a former Computing student at West Suffolk College.

Last month Marketplace amp announced the appointment of Non-Executive Director Jo Vertigan.

Jo is the Chairman of the Cambridge Norwich Tech Corridor Delivery Board and brings with him a wealth of commercial experience. He structured the first Sony UK and Amazon global trading agreement in 2001 as well as previously running Sony UK’s e-commerce business, which grew to be the largest in Europe.
