marketplace amp, the UK’s only FMCG grocery aisle marketplace specialist has announced the appointment of Senior Client Services Executive, Amanda Smith.

With 20 years of experience as Senior Buyer for Ann Summers, Peacocks, Myla, and Exertis Unlimited, Amanda comes with a wealth of knowledge in buying and marketing a range of products both online and in stores.

Formerly the Head of Buying at Bondara, Amanda was responsible for managing and developing a buying team of six people to deliver profitable, creative and innovative products for a dynamic e-commerce business, which she grew from strength to strength. She worked on the design, development and launch of products before moving to Expertise Unlimited where she focused her skills to working with vendors to sell on the world’s marketplaces, such as eBay, Amazon, Curries and John Lewis.

At marketplace amp, Amanda will be managing some of the agency’s key accounts and recent new wins. Amanda commented: “I am delighted to join such a talented team at marketplace amp, who have tons of enthusiasm and such a wealth of e-commerce brand building experience with clients such as Beauty Kitchen, The Flava People and Lindens Health and Nutrition. Very much looking forward to the year ahead as we grow our clients’ online sales revenue to new heights!”

This is a great start to the year for the Cambridge-based agency with new clients such as Fybogel, FlavOil and Studio Moderna. marketplace amp is currently launching a recruitment drive and is looking to double in size during 2021. The 14-strong team based in the UK are supported by multilingual teams in France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
