Why Taiwan?
Taipei developed the ‘Smart City’ initiative as a blueprint for the development of the city’s future, based on integrating technology into the city landscape, including Smart Transportation, Smart Energy, and Smart Healthcare. Smart Housing aims to provide smart, affordable housing, establishing new living patterns integrating social involvement and green energy into everyday life.
The initiative emphasises Taipei as a demonstrator or living lab, a facilitator for innovation, and a provider of mechanisms for a smarter future. Taiwan is an excellent testbed for future cities innovations, and the Taiwanese are open to trying innovations at scale.
Many thanks in advance for your support. Please let me know should you or contacts require any additional information or assistance with applications. I am also available should you require a general conversation around the Innovate UK funded global programmes.
