Often overlooked, “Scope 3” commuting emissions are increasingly under the spotlight as many employers plan their post-Covid future. These emissions generate 18 billion kg of CO2e annually (an incredible 5% of the UK’s total emissions) and threaten to undermine ambitious net-zero goals – even for teams commuting to site just a few days a week.
