Do you have an innovative idea for a new product or service and are now considering funding to take your project to the next level? The Innovation Grant Mentoring Project, delivered in partnership by Norfolk & Suffolk County Councils, is offering a series of free webinars and workshops designed to help guide you through the complexities in applying for innovation funding.

This first session on Thursday 23 November will explore innovation funding at a foundation level, helping you to answer why and when you should seek funding, and offer clarity over the application process and funds available to you.

Our speakers

Liz Flint is the founder of Flint Innovation and has twenty years of experience at the intersection of business, academia, and Government. Liz is passionate about helping organisations and individuals to thrive and has spent her career on just that. She has built new organisations from the ground up, taken existing organisations in a new direction, and built happy, high-functioning teams in a range of settings. She has a strong track record of winning funding and delivering successful programmes.

Colm Watling is an aeronautical systems engineer. His background includes innovation in defence systems (MOD) and the automotive sector (Triumph Motorcycles and CCM). Colm has more recently worked for Innovate UK and the Catapult Network, and now works with a number of HEIs on business development, bid writing and entrepreneurship education projects. He brings regional business support programme experience from his time at PERA where he ran the East Midlands Manufacturing Advisory Service, as well as having Technology Transfer roles at Loughborough and Nottingham Trent Universities.
