Downstream Innovation Ltd has enjoyed being a part of Innovation Martlesham’s Incubator Facility for several months now. Downstream Innovation’s founder Matt Lawson recently moved on from BT to fulfil a life time ambition to start and run his own company. In his previous role Matt was Director of Applied Innovation where he lead BT’s Applied Technology Centre, Hothouse Team and the Customer Centre and Innovation showcases.  He spent over 20 years working in Research and Innovation helping discover, develop and downstream many exciting new technologies and innovations across BT’s lines of business.

Matt wanted to use his considerable experience and knowledge in how to deliver effective innovation services to benefit other companies and organisations.  And that’s the vision behind Downstream Innovation.

This exciting new company offers a range of innovation services to help its customers discover new technology, develop new ideas and concepts, mobilise innovation into action and delivery as well as providing coaching, mentoring and training support.  You can check out the website here.

We asked Matt why he chose to be part of Innovation Martlesham…

Innovation Martlesham is a fast growing and vibrant technology cluster and it was the right choice for starting this type of business.  The Incubator facility provides a fantastic environment where you can network with like-minded innovators, get advice and support from a range of specialist mentors as well as getting access to all the day to day practical necessities such as desk space and network.  I’m thrilled to be part of it!”

If you want to explore an innovation opportunity Matt would be very pleased to discuss it with you, you can contact him at matt@downstreaminnovation.com or on his mobile at 07733448254.
