Isle of Man Innovation Challenge 2026: Calling Health Innovators from Northern Ireland

Global Health & Tech innovators are being invited to take part in the Isle of Man Innovation Challenge 2026, a global competition focused on advancing health and social care through digital innovation, collaboration and new technologies.

Now in its fourth year, the Innovation Challenge brings together innovators, Government, health providers and regulators to explore how digital transformation, collaboration and new technologies can strengthen services, improve outcomes and support a healthier, more connected Island.

Led by Digital Isle of Man and the Department for Enterprise, and delivered in partnership with the Department of Health and Social Care, Manx Care and Public Health Isle of Man, the Challenge provides a uniquely collaborative environment where innovators can gain insight into real system needs and refine their propositions in a responsible and practical way.
The Isle of Man, the world’s first entire-nation UNESCO Biosphere, offers direct access to decision-makers, real system insight and a supportive ecosystem to help innovators refine and strengthen their solutions.

2026 focus areas
The 2026 Challenge focuses on three core themes:
• Working Smarter – reimagining how health and care services engage, connect and operate, including care coordination, intelligent engagement and streamlined administration.
• Wellness – empowering people and communities to stay well through proactive self-care, public health analytics and positive care journeys.
• Home First – supporting care closer to where people live, including virtual care, community-based support and agile workforce models.

Innovators selected as finalists will be supported through a structured programme of workshops, engagement sessions and mentorship, culminating in a public showcase in the Isle of Man in June 2026.

The Challenge is open to start-ups, scale-ups and established organisations with solutions relevant to health and social care systems.
Applications close on 27 February 2026, with finalists announced in April and the finale showcase taking place on 25 June 2026.
