We want to understand what skills shortages there are in Norfolk in ICT & Digital and are urgently seeking the views of your organisation.

Have your say by completing our survey: www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/ict-norfolk

This survey is due to increasing demand for specialist skills from our largest private, public and third sector organisations. New Anglia’s Digital Tech Sector Skills Plan estimates that 10,000 tech roles – both new and replacement of existing positions – will be needed in Norfolk and Suffolk by 2024.

Employers continue to report ICT/Digital skills shortages which are adversely affecting their business.

This survey will allow us to evidence anecdotal knowledge of employer need and solidify knowledge of employer-led demand for specific training. Without this evidence, it remains difficult for colleges and training providers to change or grow their provision, therefore this will help in delivering some targeted work with FE and HE providers and work collaboratively to support employer demand where possible.

Having this opportunity to work with some of you to generate the evidence base around training/skills shortages is critical to future training provision. It also ensures that the Skills team and stakeholders who are delivering the Sector Skills Plans are facilitating the solutions to the most critical issues.

We will be establishing some focus groups and 1:1 meetings over the coming months, which we hope you will be part of.
