The Suffolk Skills Show now in its 5th year takes place at Trinity Park Ipswich on Wednesday 17th October. Over 100 businesses and further education providers will be welcoming an audience of over 4500 school children from across Suffolk. The event this year is also open to the general public.

The event provides an opportunity for businesses to showcase the people they employ and what they are looking for in future employees.  The young people attending will be looking for career inspiration, information and a wide range of hands-on experiences to help inspire them to explore skills, further education and Apprenticeships, there will also be education providers and Careers Guidance helping them to gain advice on how to take the next step into the world of work. The Suffolk Skills Show will be packed with ideas, advice and opportunities to put employers and young people on the path to future success.

‘Job Hunter’ was launched last year and welcomed members of the public for the first time. Once again this will be a key feature of the event. Ideal for those thinking about careers, getting that first job, becoming an Apprentice, getting a degree or changing job entirely. ‘Job Hunter’ is a welcome addition to the event where employers will be directly advertising vacancies and recruitment timetables to the over 18’s attending on the day. Anyone is invited to attend this free event that are interested in seeking employment or a complete career change.

For the first time, Innovation Martlesham will be exhibiting at the event with TechEast members, Coderus and Inawisdom. Spread the word to anyone who may be thinking about a change of career or looking for inspiration on how to start a business.
