Turning 150 years of newspapers into text and voice chatbots

This webinar will be live on Thursday, 17 October at 2PM (BST).

In early 2017, Archant, a large UK publishing company, came to ubisend with a crazy idea: turning their 150 years worth of paper archives into an interactive, intelligent text and voice chatbot.

The idea intrigued Google enough to fund it. Now, two years down the line, we’re ready to release this innovative, fresh new way of interacting with history.

Take a journey with us through the project, from inception to roadblocks, challenges to innovations, struggles to triumphs.

A 2-year long chatbot building journey

In this webinar, we will:

  • introduce the Local Recall project,
  • dissect some of the roadblocks we encountered along the way, and,
  • demo the final products (including on Alexa and Google Home).

Local Recall is one of the largest and most innovative chatbot projects, and certainly the first of its kind. Join our webinar to learn all about it
