Are you looking to find a career or apprenticeship after school or further education? Maybe you’ve been in employment for years but are seeking a change in direction?
Then come along to the Suffolk Skills Show and ‘try before you buy’, plus speak to over 100 employers, and find real vacancies!
In Suffolk we have some fantastic opportunities for employment across a range of burgeoning industry sectors. By bringing together employers, schools, colleges and training providers, Suffolk Skills Show offers you the chance to work out which careers are of interest to you and match your strengths, then find out the best route to get the right skills for the job. Schools, Colleges and Universities are invited to bring groups of students to the event, any age is welcome to ‘drop in’ from the age of 11+ entry to the event is free and Schools and Collages can claim a subsidy towards transport if eligible. Individuals are invited to ‘drop-in’ throughout the day, no need to pre-register, but you may wish to do so and to check back regularly to see what Apprenticeship and Job opportunities will be accessible via this year’s Suffolk Skills Show for Job Hunters.
The sectors being promoted at the 2018 Show include:

- Agriculture, Food & Science
- Creative & Digital Industries
- The Built Environment
- Education & Training – including Careers and Information Zone
- Financial Services
- HM Forces
- Horticulture (including Arboriculture)
- IT & Technology (ICT)
- Law & Legal Services
- Ports & Logistics

For employers the Show enables them to actively influence the understanding of young people and work with education providers about the kind of workforce skills needed and help them make the right choices early on. In addition it increases awareness of the sectors and contributes to improving employment prospects and availability and retention of the right calibre of recruits in Suffolk.
