Paul Muschamp, Head of Future Communications Research, BT “Connected and Autonomous Vehicles”
Paul will give an overview of the main applications of CAV, why it’s important to BT and how we see the technology developing, particularly as we move to 5G
Paul has worked for BT since 1975 in a variety of technical roles in architecture, design, strategy and research. Paul is currently in the 5G research team, based at Adastral Park, where he leads on the CAV research programme.
Matt Porter, MD Matt Porter Web Design Ltd and ‘Gadget Man’
Matt has recently completed a 1200 mile road trip in a 4G connected Tesla Model S electric vehicle. He will give an account of how the car influenced the journey, made decisions on route guidance in real time and intelligently managed the cars systems in order to manage its energy consumption based on driver use and live traffic information.
Matt has been reviewing technology and gadgets on the radio, in magazines and online since 2013, during this time he has tested and reviewed 14 electric and hybrid vehicles. Matt i salso the Technology Correspondent for the Mark Murphy Breakfast Show on BBC Radio Suffolk.
