How We Can Bring Silicon Valley to Suffolk
Septembers’ SYNC brings a talk from Paul Graham of Matrixx. Paul’s talk will cover three areas, the first being experience of being part of a successful start-up based in the Ipswich Area. Secondly the lessons setting up an engineering centre for a Silicon Valley company in Ipswich and thirdly the opportunities to bring Silicon Valley companies to the region along with investment opportunities.
Paul joined Matrixx Software, a Silicon Valley based company , in 2014 as Directory of UK Engineering to establish an engineering centre to utilise local talent to expand Matrixx’s global footprint. He has 25 years experience in Telecommunications, having been part of another successful start-up, eServGlobal, part of which was acquired by Oracle in 2010. He’s a passionate believer in the areas potential as a key technology hub with its legacy in research and innovation, and close proximity to the UKs other main technology centres.
Away from technology Paul is a supporter of youth Rugby, as a coach and administrator, as well as playing in bands supporting local good causes
