Google is bringing its Google Digital Garage to The Innovation Centre Knowledge Gateway on the 4th of July, offering local business owners and businesses free advice plus coaching on their digital skills to help them grow in their business or career paths.

The Google Digital Garage is one of Google’s flagship investment programmes in the UK, where anyone can come and learn free digital skills through a range of courses or 1:1 sessions. Since launching the Google Digital Garage in 2015, over 300,000 people have benefited from Google’s free face-to-face training on digital know-how across 250 locations in the UK.

Highly skilled Google experts will show you how to improve your presence online through interpreting data, how to create both a social media and a digital marketing plan. Due to popular demand they will run three separate sessions. The three topics that will be covered in individual 1-hour bookable slots are:

  1. Build a Digital Marketing Plan 10:00 to 11:00 – An introduction to the main digital marketing channels and how to use them to build strategy.
  2. Know Your Business with Data 11:00 to 12:00 – Learn the value of insight-based marketing and discover how interpreting data in the right way can help your business grow.
  3. Social Media Strategy 12:30 to 13:30 – Learn about creating a social media strategy based on your business goals and brand guidelines, via the key platforms.

IMPORTANT: Please feel free to attend more than one session (but you will need to book separately) and arrive in a timely manner before each session so we can start on time.

This is an amazing opportunity for businesses in Colchester and surrounding areas to gain new skills and to learn how to reach more customers.

We hope you’ll pop in and get the skills you need to become more confident online, grow your career or business, and maybe even launch the next big idea.
