Amy Coulter from the Carbon Charter will be explaining why every SME should be measuring their carbon emissions, how this can open up new business opportunities and how businesses can calculate a carbon footprint.

She will explain what should be included in your carbon footprint and how, in practical terms, plus providing information on where to go for help and support.

What the session will cover:

• Requirement and benefits of measuring and reporting on your greenhouse gas emissions
• Calculating a carbon footprint for your organisation – what you should be including, how to calculate emissions.
• Where to go for help

Why is it important?

Recognising the importance of carbon reporting whilst showcasing to your key stakeholders that you are acting on it will put your business ahead of competitors. Accreditation around lowering carbon emissions will have an overall positive impact in terms of cost savings, winning work and tenders, an indication of good leadership to investors, and more.
