Essex Cloud Computing Experts Meet at Innovation Centre, Knowledge Gateway

This October sees the new Essex Cloud Computing Meetup Group kicking off with a talk on “Building Lean Solutions with Cloud and AI”. The newly formed group is for IT professionals and programmers to discuss the latest on all aspects of computing, programming and operations.
Launched by James Brand, CEO of Innovative Creations, and Richard Conway, Director of Elastacloud, the meetup will bring expert speakers to Essex, discussing topics ranging from Cloud Computing to AI and DevOps. James and Richard will be using their extensive network of contacts to bring in leading tech speakers from Essex and the surrounding areas.
James, whose cloud computing business is based in the ICKG, has always had an ambition to start a networking group in Colchester. When he saw the emerging opportunity in the opening of the Innovation Centre, he knew the time had come to realise his ambition. He told us: “The ICKG is the perfect venue for tech events. Since its opening, tech in Essex has had the focal point it has long needed. Richard and I are both based in Essex, and we didn’t see why all the good events should happen in London. The scene here is strong enough to support its own expert meetups, and the ICKG provides that opportunity.”

The event will run every 2nd Wednesday of the month from 7-9pm, alternating between the Innovation Centre in Colchester and a venue in Chelmsford. The event is free to attend, with coffee, beer and pizza provided, but spaces must be pre-booked. Richard Conway will kick off the first meetup at the Innovation Centre with a talk on how cloud and AI can be used to build lean solutions to solve business problems.
