….if so we’d love to see you & your solutions at this FREE event!

INNOVATION SHOWCASE 2019

Wednesday, 3 April 2019, 09:30 – 14:00*

SCC HQ, Endeavour House, 8 Russell Rd, Ipswich IP1 2BX

Finding innovative ways of delivering public services is essential; not just to meet financial challenges but also to deliver more effective services which better meet the needs of users and communities across Suffolk. We want to engage with innovators and businesses to explore ideas and solutions to enable us to deliver better services, manage demand and facilitate transformation.

Why should you attend?

  • Hear first-hand from SCC staff and other public sector partners what our challenges and priorities are, thus enabling you to better understand not just the problem to solve, but the opportunity it may give you to provide solutions, etc.
  • Seize the opportunity to demonstrate – with exciting and engaging market stall displays – just how your products, services and tech could potentially solve those challenges/priorities and thus support the day-to-day work of staff.
  • Build relationships and start an innovative conversation! As a direct result of our last showcase a number of initiatives have been taken forward, proving that a simple, engaging conversation, can be the start of something big!….

Our current challenges – have you got a solution?

We want to learn about ANY solutions – tech or otherwise – you have deployed to tackle the list of specific challenges summarised in Appendix A. We also want to hear about ANY challenges you’ve provided solutions to other County Councils across the UK or indeed are keen to undertake field trials with. PLUS! If you have solutions or case studies that meet our over-arching priorities and/or tackle the long list of services we currently provide (see the second half of Appendix A) we’d love to hear about those too please!

*Optional: 14:00 – 17:00 Network with SCC Managers and European Innovation Partners

In the afternoon we will be meeting at Ipswich Town Football Club (right behind our HQ – stallholders are invited!) to learn how our EU-grant funded project partners from Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands and Scotland are innovating. Plus a keynote speaker! The idea is to share learning, challenges and solutions. You will also be able to network with our senior managers; digital champions and our aim is to not only find solutions now but to start building future project collaborations and trials which could potentially qualify for internal or external funding. The Showcase will be open to ALL SCC staff and other organisations throughout the day.

To ensure the event is right for you and us, this year we may short-list businesses prior to allocating stalls. For more details and to make a provisional booking, please contact: Kevin Wegg, Smart Innovation Project Manager email: kevin.wegg@suffolk.gov.uk  07860 831760.

The Innovation Showcase will be part of a week-long DIG-IT Festival (Digital Innovation Growth – Information & Technology) for SCC staff, plus other regional public sector organisations and EU Project Partners

Please do forward and share this invite with your networks!

Due to anticipated demand, unfortunately attendance at the event will be limited to those that secure market stalls.

We very much look forward to hearing from you!
