AI and data-driven decision making are reshaping the way companies do business. These powerful and disruptive tools allow organizations to develop new business strategies to accelerate workflow, scale faster and create new opportunities.
Data is the lifeblood of AI. It has to be protected and managed. Companies must learn to analyze data to tease out the hidden truths that lead to insight and change. AI is the engine that drives innovation. It allows companies to identify opportunity and optimize for success.
Through a review of current best practices, participants will learn how to secure data access and outline a successful Data and AI strategy, as well as identify the resources and AI tools necessary to execute their plan.
“How do data and digital interact with real life? In the next couple decades we’re going to see virtually everything augmented and processes reinvented to take advantage of new capabilities.”
AI for Business Masterclass 2: From Data to Insights
Wednesday 6 April 2022 – 1.30pm to 2.30pm
I have data. I need insights. Where do I start?
This question comes up often. It is typically asked by starting data scientists, analysts and managers new to data science. Their bosses are under pressure to show some ROI from all the money that has been spent on systems to collect, store and organize the data (not to mention the money being spent on data scientists).
Sometimes they are lucky — they may be asked to solve a very specific and well-studied problem (e.g., predict which customer is likely to cancel their mobile contract). In this situation, there are numerous ways to skin the cat and it is data science heaven.
But often they are simply asked to “mine the data and tell me something interesting”. Where to start?
Using Python, the session will demonstrate ways to get to insights from numeric and textual data.
AI for Business Masterclass 3: Migrating to the cloud for Smarter Business: How cloud computing can benefit your business
Wednesday 27th April 2022 – 1.30pm to 2.30pm
‘Mind your business, not the cloud’Cloud computing provides a way for your business to manage your computing resources online. The term has evolved over recent years, and can be used to describe the use of a third party for your storage and computing needs.
The ‘cloud’ refers to the internet, and operating ‘in the cloud’ describes the way you store and access your data through an internet connection.
Cloud computing allows businesses to access their information virtually, creating a flexible and global way of accessing your data any place, any time.
This session will help you to understand cloud computing, and the different ways you could use cloud computing in your business, using Amazon Web Services.
