Tech East

LEADING

We’re thought leaders. We engage government and decision makers in key policy areas. Recently we’ve helped coordinate the tech sector’s response to UK Government’s Industrial Strategy; we’ve helped map out the region’s innovation assets, strengths and opportunities in the Science and Innovation Audit, and we’re leading the charge on the Digital Tech Skills Plan for the region putting employers at the heart of it.

CONNECTING

We connect our members with each other both on a 1:1 basis and through networking events.
For start-ups that often mean connecting them with angel investors, choosing the right co-working space or incubator, or finding their first customer in the private or public sector.
For a scale-up it could be support with entry into an accelerator, finding Series A venture capital or collaborating with partners on Innovate UK funding competitions;
And for mature corporates we help them identify relevant SMEs for their supply chain or simply helping articulate the disruptive and transformational projects going on within their organisations that might not be getting heard in the market.
Tech is everywhere these days, it underpins every organisation. So we connect technologists and business leaders across sectors: advanced manufacturing and engineering, healthcare, telecoms, financial services and digital creative to name just a few. And we connect our members with the London market, the world’s 3rd largest tech cluster through our London Embassy located near Liverpool Street.

ACCELERATING

We’ve put together really good package of business support –  for start-ups right through to large tech businesses. We work with a range of affinity partners to provide exclusive, discounted benefits across added value areas like legal, recruitment accounting and insurance but also core services like utilities, connectivity, HR and payroll and IT equipment –

Our Workspace Passport that enables our members to hot desk and book meeting rooms in tech hubs across the region and in London. So it’s a bit like Amazon Prime.

Then on a 1:1 basis we support members with monthly Surgeries – find them press and media opportunities to profile their businesses, helping them navigate through the huge range of conferences and events happening locally and nationally and choosing the right ones, getting discounts wherever possible, or putting them in touch with our network around the world if they are seeking to expand internationally.
